The MacArthurs of Canna
The Canna Local History Group would like to thank the MacArthur family of Codroy Valley, Newfoundland and folklorist Margaret Bennett for sharing these photos of the families return home to Canna in 2009 with us.
Margaret Bennett and Grace Note publications have produced an excellent book and CD titled Dìleab Ailean, The legacy of Allan MacArthur, Newfoundland Traditions across Four Generations. It's available to buy from the Highland Village Gift Shop, Grace Note or from the Canna Community Shop on Canna.
It's hoped that Canna will once again welcome home members of the family in homecoming year 2014.
